Android and iPhone help

Harkara is a device-local email client. It connects your device directly to the mail provider you choose. This page helps with account setup, mail sync, notifications, app lock and safe troubleshooting without asking you to disclose a mailbox password.

Start here

  1. Install the latest Harkara build available to you through the App Store, Google Play or the authorised testing link.
  2. Choose the matching provider during account setup. Use the provider's sign-in page when Google or Microsoft sign-in is offered.
  3. For another mail provider, confirm its current IMAP and SMTP settings with that provider before entering them in Harkara.
  4. Keep the device online during the first sync. Large mailboxes can take longer to populate.

Account will not connect

  • Confirm that the email address is complete and that the provider allows third-party mail clients.
  • If the provider uses two-step verification, follow its supported OAuth or app-password process. Do not send an app password, one-time code or recovery code to Big Helpers.
  • Check the provider's service status and try again on a stable network.
  • If you changed your account password or revoked access, remove the affected account from Harkara and connect it again.

Mail is not refreshing

  • Open Harkara and allow a foreground refresh before judging background delivery.
  • Check whether the device has restricted Harkara's background activity, notifications or network access.
  • Verify that the message is present in the same folder on the provider's own website or app.
  • Pull to refresh, then record the provider, folder and time of the last expected message if the issue continues.

Notifications and reminders

Harkara can show new-mail, VIP and reminder notifications when the relevant feature and system permission are enabled. Delivery timing can also depend on the device's battery and background-activity settings. Check both Harkara's settings and the operating system's notification settings.

Privacy and app lock

Messages, account details and app preferences are kept on the device. Big Helpers does not receive your mailbox or mailbox password. Harkara can protect its interface with an optional six-digit app passkey and the device's fingerprint or face authentication. Read the Harkara privacy policy for the complete data-handling explanation.

Contact support safely

Email contact@bighelpers.in with:

  • the device model and operating-system version;
  • the Harkara version shown by the store or app;
  • the mail provider and affected feature;
  • the exact error message and the approximate time it occurred; and
  • a screenshot only after hiding addresses, subjects, message content and account identifiers.

Never send a mailbox password, app password, OAuth code, one-time code, recovery code, full email message, access token or private attachment. Big Helpers support does not need these items.

Response and availability

Harkara is currently distributed through the store or testing status shown on its official listing. A store invitation or testing link does not guarantee that every account or device is eligible. Support can investigate a reproducible app issue, but it cannot restore access to an email account or override a mail provider's security policy.

Sound and haptics are optional. Haptics depend on your device and browser. Your device’s reduced-motion setting always takes priority.
