When you leave home, WhatsApp opens with a ready message for each person you picked: the time and the nearest road or landmark. You tap Send.

Set up in two minutes

1. Open the file from our email and tap Add Shortcut.
2. Pick people from your contacts and confirm your country code (91 is filled in).
3. In Shortcuts, open Automation, choose When I Leave Home, then Run Immediately.

What it asks for

• Location — once, to name where you are leaving from.
• Contacts — to read the numbers of the people you picked.
• WhatsApp — to open each chat with the message ready.
• openstreetmap.org — to look up the nearest landmark. Free, no account.
