How MX records control where your email goes

MX records tell the internet which mail server should receive email for your domain. If MX records are missing, duplicated incorrectly, or still pointing to an old provider, messages may bounce or arrive in the wrong mailbox.

Changing website hosting does not always mean changing email hosting. Many businesses host their website with one provider and email with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, cPanel, or another service. During migrations, Big Helpers checks MX records separately from website records so email is not accidentally moved or interrupted.

Before changing MX records, confirm destination mailboxes are ready, users can sign in, and old mail has been migrated if needed.
