The situation

A 6-person home-fragrance D2C brand in Jaipur was at ₹18L/month on a basic Shopify theme. Conversion rate was 0.9% (industry avg for their category is 2-3%). The expected outcome

Frequently asked questions

Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom — which one?

Shopify for fast launch, simple ops, and if monthly recurring fee (₹2,000-15,000+/month) is fine. WooCommerce for one-time-cost preference, more flexibility, and if you have someone to maintain WordPress. Custom (Next.js + Medusa.js) for ₹50L+/year stores with truly unique flows. We honestly recommend the smallest fit — not the biggest contract.

Can you migrate us from one platform to another?

Yes. Shopify → WooCommerce, Magento → Shopify, custom → Shopify, etc. Includes products, customers, orders (last 12 months), redirects (so SEO doesn't tank), and payment/shipping reconfiguration. Migration adds 2-3 weeks to a normal build.

How do you handle GST and HSN codes?

Each product gets an HSN code in setup. Tax rates by state are calculated automatically. Invoice format follows Indian GST law (CGST/SGST for intra-state, IGST for inter-state). Bulk invoice export per quarter for your CA. We've shipped this for 30+ Indian stores — your CA will be happy.

What about multi-channel — Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho?

We integrate with Unicommerce, Vinculum, or Eshopbox depending on your scale and budget. One inventory truth, listings synced, orders pulled into one dashboard. Adds ₹40-80K to the build but pays back fast if you have 200+ orders/month across channels.

Do you do product photography and content?

Photography no — but we recommend reliable Indian product photographers in 8 cities. Product descriptions and lifestyle copy: optional, ₹400-1,200 per product depending on length and category.

WhatsApp Business API — what does it cost monthly?

Roughly ₹0.40-1.20 per outbound message in India (depends on category — utility messages cheaper than marketing). For a store doing 1,000 orders/month with cart recovery + order updates + tracking, expect ₹4-12K/month. Almost always pays back via recovered carts.

Can we self-manage after launch?
